Elizabeth Lee Q&A

Before my aPPOINTMENT

Bridal appointment
  1. What sizes do you carry?

We carry size 0-26 in our bridal store in Dallas. However, our Dallas location offers custom sizes to each made to order gown. With that, there is no size chart. We make the dress in the bride’s size. However, we offer a custom fit not a perfect fit as brides do tend to fluctuate and unless the dress is built on your body, alterations is always to be expected.

  2. What should I bring to my appointment?

    1) Nude underwear and strapless bra is something we always recommend. You can also bring some sticky/pasties as well. We will not be able to help a customer to try on without underwear.

    2) A supporting group of friends and family. We love our brides and when their group is sweet and supporting, the bride has the best time. However when someone criticizes the bride’s appearances or personal styles, it diminishes the experience for the bride.

I Said “YES” To The Dress…..Now What?

  1. Sketches: Sketches are sent out to brides approximately 8-10 weeks after payment is made and contract is signed. Sketches are only available for full custom dresses. However, it can be purchased for $100 with semi custom or no custom orders. Please review your sketch and pay close attention to things like: Neckline shape and style, general lace placement, detachable pieces ETC. Please note that things like train length, sparkle layers, specific lace placement, color and the like are hard to depict in sketches. Please know that sketches are an artistic presentation of your dress. It doesn’t dictate the lace mapping process. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

  2. Payments: Please be mindful of when your payments are due. We usually take full payments. But once approved, you can pay your first payment at the time of your appointment, and the rest is due within 30 days of purchase. If you are unable to make a payment on the due date, please do reach out to us as soon as possible so that we can assist with payment questions. Late fees will apply once the invoice is over due for more than 7 days.

  3. Production updates: Some of our custom designs require more approval along the way than others and due to this our production will send out update photos along the way for your confirmation. You will not receive monthly updates when there are no updates from production. If you would prefer more frequent updates than needed, please reach out to info@elizabethleebridal.com.

  4. Pick ups: We will reach out via text once your gown is complete. Gowns/Wedding Attire will need to be picked up within 30 days of completion or we can always ship your gown to you with insurance. Pick ups are done Monday-Friday between 10 AM-6 PM and at 9:30 AM on Saturdays and last 30 minutes long.

I Picked Up My Wedding Attire…..Now What?

  1. Alterations:  We have a list of highly recommend alterations specialists and can send their contact info upon request. We recommend that all of our brides budget approximately 25% of the cost of the dress and 1-2 months for alterations just in case! Be sure to take a video of how to do the bustle just in case, you will thank us later :)

  2. Storing Your Wedding Attire: We recommend storing your wedding attire hanging in a closet, in the garment bag that we have provided. Ideally this closet is not attached to any running water sources and is temperature controlled.

  3. Day of Care:  Ideally the night before or early on the day of your ceremony, your wedding attire may need a light steam. We recommend covering the head of the steamer with a hand towel or long tube sock and secure with a hair tie to ensure the head of the steamer does not scorch or leave water stains on the fabric. Hang your wedding attire (IE Veil, Overskirt, Gown, Romper ETC) up high and begin steaming. If any wrinkles are hard to get out, leave the gown to air dry and hang, and the natural weight of the fabric should pull out the remaining wrinkles. With Satin, Crepe, and Mikado gowns, steaming should take place plenty of time before wear so as to not hard set the wrinkles.
